Rules of order and access for the recycling centres

  • Only access to vehicles weighing less than 3,500 kg.
  • Animal manure is not accepted at the recycling centres. (It is possible to dispose of small amounts of pet manure with your household waste.)
  • Waste must be unloaded manually from a vehicle or trailer – tipping of loads is NOT permitted.
  • You must deposit your waste in the containers yourself. If you are disposing of large or heavy waste items that were loaded onto the trailer by two people at your home, two people must also be present at the centre to unload the waste.
  • If you are depositing waste in bags or sacks, these must be transparent so it is possible to see their contents.
  • Scavenging is strictly prohibited.
  • Please help keep the recycling centre clean and tidy. Pick up after yourself.
  • You are welcome to use the shovels and brooms provided for this purpose at the recycling centre.

When depositing hazardous waste, you must always contact a centre employee.

  • Packaging units containing flammable liquids may at most contain 5 kg of fluid each and they may not be larger than 10 litres.
  • Environmentally harmful waste must be in clearly labelled and closed packaging and must be handed over to a centre employee. If you no longer have the original packaging, please attach a label listing the contents to the new packaging or write this information directly on the packaging.
  • Environmentally harmful waste must be placed in separate units at container 27. You are NOT permitted to deposit this waste in plastic bags.

Tips

  • Ask for help if in doubt
  • It is a good idea to sort the waste at home before driving to the recycling centre. This makes it easier for you when you have to unload and deposit the waste in the different containers.
  • Collapse your cardboard boxes before throwing them into the container for cardboard. They will take up less space and save money on container transport.
  • It is a good idea to put light insulation materials into transparent bags before depositing them at the recycling centre so they are not blown off the trailer or out of the containers.
  • Make sure to securely attach your waste to the trailer so that the waste does not fall off or litter the road during the trip to the centre.
  • Look out for other road and centre users.
  • Turn off the engine when you are unloading waste at the recycling centre.
