Use the lid
Do not discard used batteries. Batteries contain toxic substances that are harmful to the environment. Also, the batteries contain costly metals that are recyclable.
You can deposit your used batteries at the recycling centre, or you can collect your small batteries in a small bag, tie a knot on the bag and put it on the lid of your waste bin. The waste collector will then take the bag of used batteries the next time he collects your household waste.
The types of used batteries we accept are:
- A batteries
- AA batteries
- AAA batteries
- C batteries
- Button cell batteries
- Mobile phone batteries
- Other small batteries
Types of used batteries that must be taken to the recycling centre:
- Vehicle batteries
- Accu batteries (e.g. for electrical tools)
- Large batteries
